A new book written by Ken Rogers and Michael Marshman comparing old and new photographs of Trowbridge is now on sale. Trowbridge Then and Now, published by the History Press, is available in the museum shop priced at £12.99. But hurry, as soon as we get stock in it seems to sell out.
The book includes many well known local streets, buildings and local landmarks photographed in colour matched with the identical view shown with in a sepia tint. It’s a really interesting book and a vital addition to any local historian’s bookshelf.
Ken Rogers, one of the authors, is the former County Archivist of Wiltshire and a mainstay of the Friends of Trowbridge Museum. He has written many books and pamphlets concerning different aspects of Trowbridge’s history most of which are available from the Trowbridge Museum shop.
