Trowbridge Museum has great pleasure in announcing it has successfully bid for £114,000 from the Arts Council England. The funding, part of Arts Council England’s Rennaissance Strategic Support Fund, will be used to support the project in its initial stages through fundraising and developing the business plan. The funding will be spent over the next two financial years – a first tranche of £55,000, then a further £59,000 in 2014 – 2015.

Staff and volunteers are naturally extremely pleased with the outcome and are looking forward to progressing the “Manchester of the West“.

“The Museum’s expansion is fantastic news for Trowbridge and will really help to put the county town on the tourism map” say Clare Lyall, the Curator.
