EDUCATION BOOKING INFORMATION
To book an educational visit to Trowbridge Museum call the Education
Officer on 01225 751339 during normal office hours.
The Museum is available for school visits all year round during
term time. Classes are welcome Tuesday to Friday 9.00 a.m -3.30
p.m (the museum is closed on Mondays but can be used by special
arrangement).
There is ample parking available nearby and safe drop-off points
for coaches. The museum houses a souvenir shop, an education room
and male, female and disabled toilets. A lift is available for
those unable to manage the stairs and the entire museum is accessible
to wheelchair users.
It would help if you could give the following information when
making your booking: number of pupils, Year Group, any special
needs, name of teacher who will be bringing the group.
The Education Room can house up to 35 children for taught sessions.
The suggested adult:pupil ratio will vary depending upon the age
of your class and which activities they will be doing; please ask
for advice.
Our timetable usually fills up quite quickly so early booking
is advised. A minimum of two week’s notice is required for
any visit.
Once the dates and times have been agreed teachers will be sent
a confirmation form, map and further information about preparing
for the visit and what to expect on arrival.
There is a small charge per head for sessions with the Education
Officer but general teacher-led trips and visits by local schools
are free. There is no charge for preliminary visits or adult helpers
accompanying groups.
We look forward to meeting you and hope you enjoy your visit!
