Hi folks, well here they are. Details of all our summer holiday workshops. As usual there is a full programme and FREE drop-in workshops, and we have an additional one at the end of the the holidays that we are charging for and can be booked in advance. There is one more "Big Picture" that everyone can join in with. Details at the bottom. Now, read on! Tuesday 27th July Go Fish! Beach game It involves magnets and fish on a beach picture - clever eh? Thursday 29th July Wonderful Windmills - FREE Perfect for sticking in your sand castles Wednesday 4th August National Play Day in Trowbridge Park - FREE We'll have a selection of old games to play and some games to make Friday 6th August Finger Painting Fun - FREE Get messy! Try your toes even! Wednesday 11th August Brilliant Birthday Cards - FREE It's the museum's 20th birthday - make a birthday card to celebrate Friday 13th August Weave With Us - FREE We'll be weaving on our hand loom in The Shires, and paper weaving in the museum. Tuesday 17th August Clay Day Dinosaurs - FREE Dinosaurs - out of clay. How easy is that? Thursday 19th August Animal Masks - FREE Ideal for general day-to-day wear, or especially good for zoos. Saturday 21st August Dad's Day Portraits - FREE Draw dad as he is, or how you'd like him to be! Tuesday 24th August Stained Glass Windows - FREE Dress up your bedroom with a stunning coloured window decoration Thursday 26th August "Back To School" Pencil Case and Pen toppers Places - £2.50 or £2.00 to Stumpy Members There are limited places available for this activity so please book early to avoid disappointed children. Any remaining tickets will be issued on the day. All our FREE workshops our drop-ins sessions, tickets issued on the day from 10am for 10.30, 11.10, 11.50 sessions and 1pm for the 1.30, 2.10 and 2.50 sessions. Suitable for ages 3+, and all children under 8 must be accompnained by an adult. "The Big Picture" Take part in our collaborative picture throughout the holidays. We'll be giving out pieces for you to colour in and then adding them to the giant picture of Trowbridge - see it grow and change all summer long. 'Trowbridge a wider view...' opens on Saturday 1st May at 12.00 noon and show cases work by local photographer John Sansom. John was inspired by images from the Museum's own collection to photograph new perspectives of the town. The exhibition runs until Saturday 31st July |
