Wiltshire Museums have been working together over the past two years in order to create a shared exhibition of objects that illustrate our County’s intriguing and diverse past. From Stonehenge and the Moonrakers to our agricultural and industrial heritage, the resulting collection sees objects telling Wiltshire’s story through the material culture that our ancestors have left behind. Trowbridge Museum is a major partner in the project and as well as lending 3 fantastic pieces from our own unique collection we will host the exhibition in January 2016.
Yesterday those Museums involved, as well as Councillors and members of the public, gathered together at County Hall to celebrate the official launch. The tour will now begin with Chippenham Museum and Heritage Centre being the first venue to host this wonderful collaboration and testiment to the quality of the Museums and their collections in this County.
