Well now you can. Find the 7 bears we’ve in shops in the town centre and write down their names on the answer sheet.  Hand in your completed sheet at the Museum shop, not forgetting to fill in your contact details, and the first correct answer sheet drawn from the top hat will win a lovely Teddy Bear.

You can pick up an answer sheet here in the Museum or at Waterstones or Fabric Magic, or you can download one here.

When you bring the answer sheet into the Museum don’t forget to check out Jill Hillman’s exhibition of Restored Vintage Teddy Bears – a charming display of tired old bears lovingly restored, each one resplendent in hand-knitted clothes. You can see before and after pictures of each bear and the exhibition also includes examples of stuffing, joints and old squeakless squeakers, and don’t miss the “cloth moth bear”

The exhibition and bear hunt will be running through Christmas and into the New Year so you’ve got plenty of time to take part and see the bears.
