Join us in the February Half Term for three days of bird-themed crafts. Each workshop takes place in a different venue so make sure you note it down.
If you have a SEND child that would benefit from attending a quieter activity then please call us and we will try to accommodate you.
Tuesday 19th February: Feathered Friends (in the Shires Atrium)
Drop-in 10.30 – 3.30
Come along to the Shires Shopping Centre and make a simple birdy puppet in our FREE drop-in craft workshop. We’ll be open from 10.30 – 3.30 with a little break for lunch and the activity is suitable for ages 5+.
Thursday 21st February: Birdfeeders (in the Museum*)
Tickets issued at the main entrance from 10am for sessions at 10.30, 11.10 & 11.50 and from 1pm for 1.30, 2.10 & 2.50 sessions
Making birdfeeders is one of our stickiest workshops – so come to Trowbridge Museum and get your hands lardy and seedy rather than at home! Birdfeeders is FREE and suitable for children aged 5+, but younger children will probably be fine cramming lard and seeds into a pot.
*Please note that the Museum is only open for families participating in the craft activity.
Friday 22nd February: Clay Birds (In the Guide Hut)
Tickets issued from 10am for sessions at 10.30, 11.10 & 11.50 and from 1pm for 1.30, 2.10 & 2.50 sessions
Hop along to the Guide Hut for a spot of bird modelling in clay. It’s a really enjoyable FREE activity suitable for ages 5+.
You can download some flyers here.
Please Note: Spaces in our workshops are limited and they sometimes fill up quickly. If you would like to bring a group of 5 or more children or a larger childminding group please call in advance (01225 751339) and we will try to accommodate you. Where places can be reserved on Ticketsource there will usually be additional tickets available on the day, issued on a first come, first served basis.
All children under the age of 8 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Whilst we indicate a minimum age for each activity we are aware that younger children often attend with older siblings. We are generally happy for younger children to participate, but please be prepared to give them the support they require. We can provide paper and crayons to keep toddlers occupied – please ask us.
