Summer and Autumn Walks

Thursday 3rd June, 6pm: A Stroll Through Trowbridge History
Join the Museum’s education team for a gentle stroll through 1000 years of the town’s history. The walk starts outside Mastershoe and takes approximately 1 hour. £4 per person, payable on the day; Reserve a place via Ticketsource or call 01225 751339. This walk will be conducted using a walkie-talkie system and places are limited to 30 people.

Saturday 14th August, 11am: WW1 Walk
Join us for a stroll back through the town’s First World War connections. We’ll start off at the War Memorial, which was unveiled in 1921, and take in various locations such as the bank that housed refugees and the house that became a hospital before concluding in the town centre. The walk takes approximately 1 hour. £4 per person, ayable on the day; Reserve a place via Ticketsource or call 01225 751339. This walk will be conducted using a walkie-talkie system and places are limited to 30 people.

Thursday 19th August: 2pm: Family Woollen Walk
Join us as we take a walk through the history and heritage of the town’s woollen industry. What was a clothman, why did the town smell of sig and who was Thomas Helliker? These and many other questions will be answered as we stroll into Trowbridge’s industrious past. The walk starts outside Mastershoe and takes approximately 1 hour. £4 per adult, £2.50 per child, payable on the day; Reserve a place via Ticketsource or call 01225 751339. Suitable for ages 8+. This walk will be conducted using a walkie-talkie system and places are limited to 30 people.

 Saturday 11th September, 11am: WW2 Walk
Discover the stories, buildings and locations connected with Trowbridge and the Second World War in our wander back to the 1940s. This walk takes approximately 1.5 hour and starts at the War Memorial in the park. £4 per person, payable on the day; Reserve a place via Ticketsource or call 01225 751339. This walk will be conducted using a walkie-talkie system and places are limited to 30 people.
