Sketch Club sessions are 2 hour drawing workshops for ages 14 – 19 on Tuesday afternoons. These informal sessions are ideal for GCSE, A Level and Foundation students who want to develop their drawing skills and enhance their portfolios. The course leader, David Birks, is an educator and practicing artist with many years experience leading art and craft workshops for adults and young people. David studied Fine Art (Painting) at Liverpool Polytechnic and he has a small printmaking studio at home, producing one-off prints centred around drawing and mark-making.
This course includes all paper and materials, but please feel free to bring along your own sketchbooks and any other materials that you like to use.
The course leader will be accompanied by an volunteer – both the course leader and the volunteer have enhanced DBS certification.
