Trowbridge Museum tells the story of the town and the World famous West of England woollen cloth that was produced here. Through fascinating objects, unique Textile related machinery and wonderful images learn how the town developed from Saxon times to the present day and discover how the woollen cloth trade came to shape the town and the surrounding area.
Changing exhibitions throughout the year explore history, art and more.
We have a thriving Learning and Outreach service and a regular programme of art, craft and history workshops.
The Museum is closed to visitors until summer 2020 whilst we expand and renovate the gallery space (check out the project page!) but our services still continue.
We would like to thank Trowbridge Camera Club for many of the images used on this website.
